The whole of the IGS team traveled to meet for the first time in London, hosted by a partner of the project – Birkbeck College, University of London. The team had traveled from Scotland, Russia, Kazakhstan, Canada and even Essex to be present at the meeting. The project objectives were discussed and collaboration agreements signed.
 It was fantastic to see everyone together for the first time.

 Despite living there for 7 years, IGS researcher Alexei Trochev can’t get enough of Kazakhstan and visits a Kazakh art exhibition in London.
 One of the exhibits was an amazing representation of Soviet denunciations and the bureaucracy of terror in the Gulag.
